Rev. Brian Anderson has served as the Senior Minister of the Vista Church of Religious Science since 1986. Rev. Brian was born in Cork, Ireland and emigrated to the United States aboard the Queen Mary when he was only seven. Brian grew up in El Monte, California. As an adult, Rev. Brian moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where he became a successful Real Estate Developer. While in Oregon, Rev. Brian discovered the Church of Religious Science. In 1983 Rev. Brian returned to Southern California to study for the ministry at Ernest Holmes College, School of Ministry in Los Angeles, California.
CRS Vista offered Brian a Letter of Call shortly after his graduation from the School of Ministry. Rev. Brian does two Sunday services each Sunday at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Brian is known for his quick sense of humor and keen insight into human nature. These combine to make him one of the most dynamic and sought-after speakers in New Thought today.
Rev. Sheila Anderson graduated from the Ernest Holmes College, School of Ministry, Los Angeles, California in 1989. She served as the Associate Minister of the Vista Church of Religious Science from 1989 to 2001. In 2001, she became co-pastor with her husband, Brian. Together they serve the First Church of Religious Science in Vista, California.
Rev. Sheila was born and raised in Pennsylvania. As a young adult Rev. Sheila moved to Nevada where she lived for more than 10 years attending the University of Nevada, Reno. In the 1980's Rev. Sheila moved to Southern California where she discovered Religious Science. While attending the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science, she met Rev. Brian. They were married in June 1985 only three months after they met.
Rev. Sheila currently serves on the Board of Education of RSI, as well as a number of other committees.
