300 Series is designed for the serious student of Religious Science. It is intended to deepen the student's practice and understanding of affirmative prayer and our power to co-create our world. Currently, prerequisites for the 300 series are successful completion of the SOM® 100 and 200 courses.
The successful student, upon completion of both the 300 and 350 Series, will have completed the necessary requirements to apply for licensing as a Practitioner of Religious Science. Please note that completing coursework does not automatically guarantee that a license will be issued.

The Science of Mind® 400 Series
Ministerial Studies
The purpose of this series is to train a student in effective leadership with an ability to relate the Principles of Science Of Mind® to everyday living and to express these principles in a clear, practical way to persons unfamiliar with them. On successful completion of this series, the student will be able to demonstrate:
A clear understanding of the basic principles of Science Of Mind® and to relate these principles to the truth within traditional religious teachings.
An ability to prepare a teaching outline for a class or formal lecture from material within the curriculum of Religious Science International and to conduct both a class and a formal lecture with clarity, conviction and authority.
To develop qualities of leadership in church operation, management, growth and expansion.
To produce students who are able to clearly teach Science Of Mind® classes accredited by Religious Science International or non-accredited Religious Science classes.
Prerequisites for admission to the SOM® 400 Series include:
- Successful completion of the SOM® 100, 200, and 300 series
- Maintaining a valid RSI Practitioner License
Permission of the instructor
It should be noted that this course is intended only for the student who has a clear intention of beginning a Religious Science ministry upon completion of the course. Please note that successful completion of SOM® 400 series coursework does not guarantee the student's successful licensure as a minister.
Upon completion of the 400 series, continuing students will have the opportunity to take an entrance examination which qualifies them to continue their professional education. The SOM® Ministerial Intensive Program is an annual symposium where more education relevant to the ministry takes place. Upon completion of the Intensive, the student may elect to stand before a Ministerial Review Board, which will then determine the applicant's readiness for the ministry.
Once approved by the Ministerial Review Board, the brand new ministerial candidate may elect to begin a new church or to place their name on the eligibility list for any church openings which may occur.
